Product Development Role

This position plays a crucial role in driving product development by providing valuable intellectual property insights to stakeholders. The key objectives include:

  • Providing timely patent litigation and opposition insights to align with product strategy, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Conducting due diligence on products to inform stakeholders about key patent rights, identifying potential for early launch or acquisition.
  • Identifying new product opportunities to drive portfolio selection and evaluating innovative ideas for patent protection/development.
  • Leading patent searches to determine patentable inventions and filing/prosecuting patent applications to augment the patent estate.
  • Undertaking due diligence activities for products of interest, informing stakeholders about value propositions for M&A deals from an IP standpoint.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) or Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) degree with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.
  • 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), or 6 years with a Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm), preferably with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.

Additionally, the candidate should have:

  • Relevant techno-legal experience in regulated markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Patent laws in India, US, and Europe.
  • An eye for detail and acumen for Paragraph IV filings in the USA.
