Cloud Deployment Engineer

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud orchestration technologies, infrastructure automation, and Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and configure Linux operating systems on physical and virtual platforms.
  • Manage hypervisors including KVM, VMware ESXi, and XenServer.
  • Lead and implement private and public cloud infrastructure using tools like OpenStack or Apache CloudStack.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts for deployment and operational tasks.
  • Use Ansible and Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and observability tools.
  • Work with physical infrastructure teams to set up and troubleshoot hardware and network configurations.
  • Document architecture designs, implementation plans, SOPs, and deployment workflows.
  • Ensure security best practices and system hardening.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years.
  • Strong command over Linux system administration.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying cloud orchestration platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages – Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools.
  • Solid understanding of storage technologies and volume management.
  • Familiarity with hardware components and server installations.
  • BASIC understanding of networking concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as RHCE or VCP.
  • Exposure to container orchestration is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud-native deployments.
  • Strong analytical thinking and excellent communication/documentation skills.
