The Senior Accountant position involves overseeing the accounting process, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with regulatory bodies. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes for legal entities, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Lead local statutory audits, preparing financial statements in compliance with Ind-AS/IFRS standards.
  • Assess risks associated with accounts and areas of responsibility, ensuring financial integrity and operating effectively.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain account reconciliations consistent with GAAP and corporate policies.
  • Research and document company positions on technical accounting issues, communicating effectively with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal control teams to maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving accounting standards and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies.
  • Apply professional skepticism and analytical skills to review and analyze general ledger, books of accounts, and statutory financial statements.
Tax and Compliance Responsibilities
  • Prepare tax calculations, estimates, and reports, ensuring accurate accruals and advance tax computations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate tax and GST returns for Intuit India entities.
  • Support Tax Teams in managing India tax matters and regional initiatives.
  • Prepare current and deferred tax provisions for US GAAP purposes.
Qualifications
  • CA/CPA qualification and 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, book close process, and direct and indirect tax compliances.
  • Experience in end-to-end legal entity level accounts finalization as per IFRS/Ind AS accounting standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, withholding tax, regular tax compliance, transfer pricing, and other tax compliances.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Ind-AS.
