Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing private cloud infrastructure, Linux, and cloud native operations, as well as working with open source applications.

This is a diverse role that requires expertise in cloud solutions architecture, deployment, testing, and handing over solutions to the support or managed services team at the end of a project. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Linux, cloud computing concepts, and technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver private cloud infrastructure solutions using Linux and cloud native operations
  • Work with open source applications and tools to drive innovation and growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Coach and develop colleagues where insights can be shared
  • Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values
  • Travel globally up to 25% of time for internal and external events

What We're Looking For:

  • University degree in Computer Science or related software engineering expertise
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies
  • Practical experience with Linux and networking
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of Python programming skills
  • Demonstrated drive for continual learning
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Great organisational skills and follow-up reliably on commitments
  • (Optional) Proficiency in a second language
