Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester with Data Engineer expertise to join our team at eTek IT Services, Inc. As an ETL Tester, you will be responsible for validating data sources, extracting data, and uploading data to target tables. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of the data and identifying any gaps or risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate data sources and extract data for analysis
- Upload data to target tables and ensure data quality
- Identify gaps or risks in data and develop remediation plans
- Participate in data conversion testing and data maintenance
- Author SQL queries to fetch data between databases and analyze results
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in ETL testing and data engineering
- Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts
- Experience with SQL, Scala, and Python programming languages
- Ability to troubleshoot data quality issues in SQL analytics
- Experience creating test cases and reviewing proposed solution designs
Preferred Skills:
- Automation testing in Spark/Scala
- Experience working with BQ tables
- Knowledge of cloud, big data analytics, and automation techniques
