Vice President, Investment Management Research

BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Research Analyst to join our dynamic team in our Pune office. The ideal candidate will have advanced training in a quantitative field, significant experience in conducting in-depth research and analysis, and building and maintaining investment infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct quantitative research and analysis in the financial domain.
- Build and maintain data infrastructure and investment process pipelines.
- Manage projects, mentor junior researchers, and communicate with various stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, data engineering, statistics, computer science or physical sciences.
- 8-12 years of relevant industry experience working in a data-driven research environment. Specific experience of quantitative research in the financial domain preferred.
- Proficiency in financial and economic analysis, fixed income, investment management, statistics and machine learning preferred.
- Experience building and maintaining data infrastructure including sourcing, quality control, organization, and reporting.
- Understanding of pipeline deployment and maintenance including version and change control, batch processes and workload automation.
- Hands-on programming experience using Python, R, SQL, and similar programming languages.
- Ability to execute independently, lead projects, and mentor junior members of the team. Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
