Job Title: Loan Officer

• We are seeking a results-driven professional to lead our lending team, ensuring the efficient disbursement of loans with minimal delinquency.
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in identifying high-potential joint liability groups and disbursing loans that meet the needs of our target customers and geographic markets.
• This role requires a strong business development focus, as the selected individual will be responsible for building and managing a team across assigned territories to drive deeper market penetration and reach.
• Key responsibilities include assessing potential client bases and product acceptability in new regions, areas, and opportunities for geographical expansion of operational areas.
• The successful candidate will also be responsible for disbursement, repayment, and delinquency management, achieving daily/weekly collections targets.
• Closely monitoring disbursed loans, especially those not paying on time, is crucial to this role.
• Regular field visits, centre meetings, and loan applicant interactions are essential for success.
• Maintaining portfolio quality by tracking and controlling normal dues, non-starters, delinquency, and frauds is critical.
• BUILDING STRONG CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS both internally and externally and creating a strong brand identification with potential customers is paramount.
• Daily/Weekly meetings and centre visits are mandatory.
• A minimum of 0-5 years of experience as a sales officer in microfinance business would be preferred.
• BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF MICROFINANCE BUSINESS AND JLG MODEL WORKING WOULD BE PREFERRED.
