We are seeking a financial professional to provide high-quality bookkeeping and VAT services to our clients in the UK.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have expertise in UK-specific accounting practices, including daily bookkeeping and VAT returns. This role is perfect for a professional who is proficient with various accounting software and can communicate effectively with UK-based clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bookkeeping for UK-based clients using software like Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, or FreeAgent.
  • Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Post payroll journals and accruals.
  • Prepare quarterly/monthly VAT returns and EC Sales Lists in accordance with HMRC regulations.
  • Communicate and coordinate with UK clients via email or video calls to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial data.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and the preparation of management reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation and an audit trail for all work.
Requirements
  • B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter/ACCA (part-qualified or similar qualification).
  • Proven experience in UK bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
  • Familiarity with UK VAT schemes (Standard Rate, Flat Rate, Margin Scheme, etc.) is an advantage.
