Post-Silicon Validation of CPU Hardware

Job Description:

Our organization seeks a skilled Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to join the CPU design and validation team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating and verifying the functionality, performance, and reliability of CPU hardware after silicon fabrication.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive post-silicon validation plans and test cases for CPU hardware.
  • Perform functional, performance, power, and reliability testing on silicon prototypes.
  • Analyze test failures, provide detailed bug reports, and track issues to closure.
  • Validate CPU features including cores, caches, memory subsystems, interconnects, power management, and other CPU-specific blocks.

The selected candidate will work closely with pre-silicon teams, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure the CPU meets design specifications and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A strong understanding of CPU microarchitecture and related components is required. The successful candidate must also have experience with post-silicon validation methodologies and tools.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is mandatory.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
