Job Title: Senior Azure Data Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Azure Data Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge data architecture frameworks on Azure. This role is instrumental in ensuring our data infrastructure aligns with business objectives and technical requirements.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and building data architecture frameworks leveraging Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database).
  • Defining and implementing reference architectures and data flow for future infrastructure development.
  • Conducting cost analysis and optimizing existing data infrastructure for efficient data handling.
  • Developing and implementing an organization-wide data strategy aligned with business processes.
  • Hands-on development with SQL, ETL processes, Python/PySpark.
  • Collaborating with network and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Implementing data modeling best practices (dimensional modeling, data vault).
  • Ensuring data security and compliance using Azure security tools (Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault).
  • Working with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to deliver data insights.
  • Implementing data governance and data quality processes.
  • Utilizing version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Working with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Working within an Agile environment (e.g., Scrum).
  • Effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Azure Cloud technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, Python/PySpark.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing data architectures on Azure.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps and Business Intelligence.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a UK shift (1 PM IST to 9:30 PM IST).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with 3 days/week in office.
