Job Title: Openshift Virtualization

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Openshift Virtualization Specialist. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

About the Role:

  • Install, maintain, and operate OpenShift Virtualization environments with minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Manage IT processes, including incident, change, and problem management, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Provide Windows Server management, including patch management, to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of networking principles and practices to design and implement robust network architectures.
  • Manage storage systems and technologies, including storage management in OpenShift (PV, PVC), to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Experience in bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers, including examples such as DELL and HP ProLiant servers.
  • Deploy, operate, decommission, and migrate virtual machines (V2V and P2V) in OpenShift and VMware environments.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and security using Prometheus and Grafana to proactively address potential issues.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT with a focus on virtualization, cloud computing, and DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of OpenShift and its components, including container orchestration and application deployment.
  • Experience with Windows Server management, including patch management and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of storage systems and technologies, including PV, PVC, and storage management in OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with bare metal server installation, rack and stack operations, and decommissioning servers.
  • Experience with virtual machine deployment, operation, and migration in OpenShift and VMware environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to maintain accurate and detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
