Embroidery Designer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional who specializes in designing fabric manipulation, embroidery, and textures. They will combine artistic skills with technical knowledge to create digital designs for fabrics and garments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of color, pattern, and texture, and be able to translate ideas into visually appealing designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Develop original fabric manipulation techniques, embroidery, textile designs, including patterns, prints, weaves, and innovative materials.
  • Experimentation: Experiment with dyeing techniques, laser techniques, and mixing of other materials to create unique color palettes.
  • Trend Awareness: Research trends in fashion, textiles, and consumer preferences to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Material Selection: Choose appropriate fabrics and materials based on design requirements and functionality.
  • Sustainability: Source sustainable or innovative materials when needed to meet our goals.
  • Technical Skills: Use design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CAD to create digital designs.
  • Textile Knowledge: Understand textile production processes, including weaving, knitting, printing, and dyeing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fashion designers, product developers, and manufacturers to ensure designs align with the overall vision.
  • Prototyping and Sampling: Develop prototypes and samples to test designs and make adjustments as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that final textiles meet quality standards and design specifications.

Requirements:

  • Creative Skills: Strong sense of color, pattern, and texture.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in textile design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, CAD).
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in creating designs and ensuring quality.

Education:

  • A degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is required.
  • Certifications in CAD or textile technology can be an added advantage.
