Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Steel Detailer to join our team. As a Steel Detailer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the fabrication process by preparing accurate shop drawings and bills of materials.

You will work closely with project managers, foremen, and shop leadership to ensure timely delivery of high-quality steel components. Your strong understanding of structural and architectural steel fabrication will be invaluable in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Software Proficiency: Tekla Structures or AutoCAD/Advance Steel (required)
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Excel (required)
  • Familiarity with Revit or Tekla EPM (FabSuite) a plus

Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings, experience preparing takeoffs and bills of materials from shop drawings, good communication skills in English (written and verbal), organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate shop drawings and bills of materials.
  2. Use detailing software (Tekla Structures, AutoCAD/Advance Steel, or similar) to model and detail steel components including stairs, railings, embeds, and structural steel.
  3. Generate and organize CNC files, bolt lists, BOM and fabrication-ready documentation.
  4. Collaborate with the project team to ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and coordinated with other trades.
