The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, and production deployment of distributed systems using microservices architecture and APIs. Experience working in a cloud environment, such as Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS, GCP, Azure, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), is also essential. Additionally, the candidate should have a deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and excellent problem-solving skills.
As an AI engineer at Oracle, you will be responsible for developing scalable infrastructure, including microservices and backend, that automates training and deployment of ML models. You will also collaborate with fellow data scientists/SW engineers to build out other parts of the infrastructure, effectively communicating your needs and understanding theirs and addressing external and internal shareholder product challenges.

We are looking for a career-level IC4 professional who can lead research and development efforts to explore new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve backend development processes. The ideal candidate should have experience with performance tuning, scalability, and load balancing techniques, and be proficient in at least one high-level language such as Java/C++ (Java preferred). Experience with scripting languages like Python, Javascript, and Shell (Python preferred) is also a plus.
