Job Opportunity:

Firmware Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing firmware solutions for our products.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in embedded development, with experience working with C/C++ compilers and linkers. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to comprehend and adapt solutions to existing code structures.

Responsibilities include collaborating with marketing and manufacturing teams to define requirements, analyzing and designing solutions, proposing improvements to software inefficiencies, and managing code changes using version control tools.

Additionally, the candidate will participate in sprint planning sessions, identify test cases necessary for verifying firmware requirements, implement or manage the implementation of test cases, and log defects in project-defined defect tracking tools.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent is required, along with prior 4-6 years of hands-on embedded development experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and experience with 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers
  • Knowledge and experience with ARM architecture
  • Knowledge and experience with RTOS
  • Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience with distributed version control such as GIT, Mercurial
  • Knowledge and experience with static code analysis tools such as PC-Lint
  • Knowledge of Ethernet Stack
