Key Roles of a Data Quality Engineer

We seek an experienced professional to drive the development and implementation of data quality processes, tools, and methodologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in building and testing the accuracy and reliability of our data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement processes to monitor and improve data quality, adhering to best practices in data governance.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify data accuracy and reliability, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to establish and maintain data governance policies, driving data excellence across the organization.
  • Identify and resolve issues with data, including errors, inconsistencies, or duplication, leveraging expertise in SQL databases and database design.
  • Monitor and report on key data quality metrics, such as data completeness and accuracy, providing actionable insights for data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a data engineer or business data analyst, with a strong understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL databases and database design, as well as knowledge of cloud technology and programming languages like JavaScript and Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make decisions that impact the team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence colleagues and stakeholders through positive interactions.
  • Business acumen and understanding of the wider business context, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to stakeholders.
