Process Safety and HSE Professional RoleA highly skilled process safety professional is required to join our team as a senior process safety and HSE engineer. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in oil & gas projects (onshore/offshore) with expertise in ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and HSE standards across engineering, construction, and operational phases.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate hazard and operability studies, hazard identification studies, SIL/LOPA assessments, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare/review: Safety philosophies, fire risk assessments, design safety rules, and hazardous area classification.
  • Develop quantitative risk assessments, functional reliability analysis, and other safety studies (with third parties if needed).
  • Review piping and instrument diagrams, layouts, and equipment specifications from a safety design perspective.
  • Support design reviews, management of change (MoC), alarm rationalization, and other aspects related to process safety and HSE.
HSE Management:
  • Support health, safety, and environmental plans, risk assessments, and method statements for projects.
  • Conduct site health, safety, and environmental inspections, toolbox talks, and compliance checks during construction or commissioning.
  • Ensure adherence to international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Lead or support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Drive a strong safety culture across project teams and subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Process / Environmental / Safety Engineering.
  • 8+ years in process safety and HSE, preferably in EPC/design/project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PSM, risk assessment, and HSE regulations.
  • Proficient in tools like PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, and DNV software.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC/PSM, TÜV Functional Safety, or equivalent preferred.
