Director of Credit Strategy

The role of Credit Head is pivotal in setting up and driving the credit strategy, policies, and processes aligned with business objectives while ensuring risk management standards and regulatory compliance.
- Credit Policies: Define, implement, and monitor credit policies, frameworks, and processes for SME/MSME lending and supply chain financing.
- Credit Appraisal: Lead the credit appraisal and underwriting function, including assessment of borrower risk, financial due diligence, and creditworthiness evaluation.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee portfolio quality, delinquency management, and design early warning mechanisms to mitigate risk.
Key Requirements:
- 8–15 years of experience in credit risk/underwriting, preferably with strong SME/MSME exposure.
- Strong understanding of supply chain finance, bill discounting, invoice financing, and related credit products.
- Proven ability to build credit frameworks from scratch and manage large loan books with quality.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms, compliance requirements, and RBI guidelines for NBFCs.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- CA/MBA/FRM or equivalent qualification preferred.
