IT Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description
The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for managing the overall IT infrastructure, applications and systems within a manufacturing facility. This includes designing, implementing and maintaining robust infrastructure and systems to support various internal functions such as production, engineering, quality control and warehouse operations.
Additionally, the successful candidate will oversee the installation, configuration and management of servers to ensure optimal performance for reliable operations. They will also be responsible for managing active and passive networking components, including switches, routers, firewalls and cable systems.
Furthermore, the IT Infrastructure Specialist will ensure that all IT systems comply with industry regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to GxP standards. They will maintain good documentation practices for IT infrastructure, applications, configurations and procedures.
The successful candidate will also ensure information security measures, including cyber security protocols and privacy security standards to protect sensitive data. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and HO departments for any systems issues, improvements, CAPAs and new projects implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven track record of heading IT systems in a medium to large scale formulations or API manufacturing facility
- Ability to design, implement and maintain robust infrastructure and systems
- Experience with server installation, configuration and management
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical processes and its importance on product quality and safety
- Understanding of GxP standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of cyber security protocols and privacy security standards
- Experience with data backup and recovery systems
- Familiarity with major audit requirements and compliance standards
