Job Description

The purpose of this role is to develop and implement the company's data strategy, ensuring the data platform meets current and future business needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop Global Data Strategy: Define and deliver the global data strategy to support the company's growth aspirations.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with technical and business stakeholders to ensure the platform and capabilities align with strategic goals.
  • Lead Agile Data Team: Oversee the agile data development team responsible for building, maintaining, and running the Snowflake-based data platform.
  • Embed Governance Framework: Establish and embed a data governance, security, and compliance framework across the organization.
  • Enable Business Teams: Provide high-quality, self-service data tools to facilitate insights and decision-making.
  • Stay Ahead of Advancements: Monitor advancements in data technologies and methodologies, introducing innovations as needed.
Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Data Strategy Expertise: Extensive experience in data strategy, governance, and platform operations.
  • Modern Data Platforms: Expertise in modern data platforms, particularly Snowflake.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership of cross-functional and agile teams.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Governance Frameworks: A track record of building and embedding governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

Nice to Haves:

  • Retail Industry Experience: Experience in the retail or fashion industry.
  • Large-Scale Data Migration: Familiarity with large-scale data migration or modernization projects.
  • Advanced Analytics: Knowledge of advanced analytics, including AI and machine learning.
