Front Office Surveillance Specialist

The Front Office Conduct Surveillance (FOCS) team is a critical component of our organization's risk management strategy.

  • Review, analyze, and investigate market abuse trading activity to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to safeguarding financial markets by identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze & investigate market abuse trading alerts as per guidelines to ensure timely and accurate escalation.
  • Document and upload analysis results for record-keeping with precision and attention to detail.
  • Use research tools for deeper investigations to uncover potential red flags.
  • Escalate suspicious activities for further investigation and report daily activities in a clear and concise manner.
Contributing Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate escalation of alerts to Level 2 investigators to meet quality assurance standards.
  • Comply with company procedures, regulatory standards, and industry best practices to maintain the highest level of integrity.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to adapt to changing procedures and optimize workflow.
  • Meet expected daily closure volumes while maintaining accuracy and precision in analysis.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

  • 2+ years of experience in banking/financial industry (3+ preferred) with a strong understanding of capital markets and market abuse types.
