IT Support Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT engineer to fill this key role within our technical team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include handling incidents, service requests, and escalations from the L1 support team, performing advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and providing timely resolutions.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance, collaborating with development teams and vendors for complex issue resolution, documenting solutions, knowledge articles, and updating standard operating procedures, as well as providing guidance, mentoring, and support to junior engineers.

This position requires participation in on-call rotations, incident response, and after-hours support as needed, ensuring compliance with SLAs, IT policies, and security standards, and assisting in system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, 2-5 years of experience in IT support or technical engineering roles, strong knowledge of operating systems and network fundamentals, and experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.

Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira is also essential, as is basic knowledge of firewall, networking, and server administration. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
