Full-Stack Developer (Technical Lead)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to lead our technical team in building a Shopify app. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing the entire product, including Shopify integration, Google API connections, and a clean merchant-friendly UI.

The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development skills with experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and Shopify APIs. They should also be familiar with cloud platforms, containerization, and scaling SaaS apps.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with the Product Manager and UX team to scope MVP features and collaborate with designers/content writers on policy templates.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the technical architecture of the Shopify app from MVP through scale.
  • Lead end-to-end development of the Shopify app backend, React/Polaris frontend.
  • Implement secure authentication flows using Shopify OAuth and Google API OAuth.
  • Build robust database models to store store data, policies, and feed configs.
  • Integrate with Shopify Admin GraphQL API to create/update pages and manage metafields/metaobjects.
  • Handle billing with Shopify Billing API and manage subscription tiers.
  • Connect with Google Merchant Center Content API to pull diagnostics, flag policy issues, and manage feeds.
  • Implement supplemental feed management and sequential A/B testing workflows for titles and images.
  • Build automated syncing of product data between Shopify and GMC.
Requirements
  • 4+ years professional full-stack development experience.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and Shopify APIs.
  • Experience building Shopify apps and integrating with Google APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and scaling SaaS apps.
