Cloud Network Infrastructure Manager Job Description

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Cloud Network Infrastructure. This includes physical and SDN network framework.

• The ideal candidate will have around 6-8 years of experience in a data center networking domain with 1-3 years of experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN) specifically in a private cloud & virtualization domain.

• Strong fundamentals and understanding of WAN & Routing technologies, Security technologies, Switching, QoS, and Network monitoring Protocols & Tools.

• Familiarity with SDN Technologies, preferably hands-on experience on any one of the SDN providers – VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, Cisco etc.

• Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.

Responsibilities
  1. Design, install, maintain, and manage Cloud Network Infrastructure including physical and SDN network framework.
  2. Ensure high availability, flexibility, and network performance while maintaining SLA.
  3. Maintain, audit, review, and update infrastructure documentation.
  4. Collaborate with the client and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests.
  5. Lead a team of Network Engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed. Evaluate team member performance periodically and provide feedback to the team and HR.
  6. Monitor and analyze key performance and capacity metrics to assess risks, business impact, and provide recommendations.
  7. Prepare, review, and deliver solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.
  8. Manage and/or deliver technical validation activities including Proof of Concept.
