Contract Negotiator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Negotiator to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for negotiating and reviewing IT contracts with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and alliance partners globally.

You will work closely with procurement, business, and delivery functions to ensure transaction closure and prepare monthly reports on transactions received.

The role also involves conducting presentations & trainings as may be required, and legal projects on a case-by-case basis (assigned by Senior Legal Counsels in the team). Inter-personal competencies include identifying contractual, commercial, and operational risks and exposures in contracts; providing inputs/mark-up on contracts to negate contractual, commercial, and operational risks and exposures; working with internal and external clients to structure, prepare, negotiate, and finalize agreements; reviewing and negotiating customer agreements; providing legal support for ongoing contract management related activities; participating in discussions with internal stakeholders, external counsels, and advisors during the entire contracting process; managing and giving guidance to junior lawyers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and review IT contracts with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and alliance partners globally.
  • Review procurement side contracts and have exposure to customer side contracts as well.
  • Work on contracts with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and alliance partners globally.
  • Review and negotiate Master Services Agreements, SOWs, Partner Agreements, Reseller Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and Rainmaker Agreements.
Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of experience in contract negotiation.
  • Major experience in negotiating IT Outsourcing contracts and other types of IT contracts with customers.
