Job Title: Android Malware Analyst

About this role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Android Malware Analyst to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform static and dynamic analysis of Android malware to identify vulnerabilities and data leakage.
  • Reverse-engineer malicious APKs and SDKs to understand behavior and intent, including spyware, trojans, rootkits, and other threats.
  • Document findings and present reports to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including threat detection pipelines and automation systems.
  • Develop detection signatures (e.g., YARA rules) and improve threat detection efficiency using custom reverse engineering tools and scripts.
  • Stay up-to-date with mobile app store policies and security best practices, network traffic analysis, protocol interception, PHA category definitions, and IOCs.
  • Collaborate with SOC operations, SIEM configuration, IDS/IPS systems, and junior analysts to achieve exceptional results.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Android malware analysis, reverse engineering, and threat detection.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app development, security protocols, and network communication.
  • Experience with threat detection tools, such as YARA and custom scripts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
