Job Summary

The Travel Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Bangalore branch, ensuring seamless functioning across all departments. This includes implementing and monitoring operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Branch Operations Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Bangalore branch, ensuring seamless functioning across all departments.
    • Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of travel consultants and support staff to achieve sales targets and operational goals.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
  • Sales and Client Relations:
    • Drive branch revenue by developing and executing effective sales strategies.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing personalized travel solutions to meet their needs.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Utilize Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport to manage bookings and optimize operations.
    • Ensure the team is proficient in GDS platforms and provide training as needed.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure compliance with IATA regulations and leverage IATA membership as an added advantage for the branch.
    • Maintain high standards of customer service and adhere to company policies.
  • Partnerships and Vendor Management:
    • Develop and manage relationships with travel vendors, suppliers, and partners to secure competitive rates and exclusive deals.
    • Represent Mellow Voyages at industry events and roadshows to strengthen market presence.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Monitor branch performance and prepare detailed reports on sales, client feedback, and operational efficiency.
    • Use data analytics to identify trends, improve processes, and drive business growth.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Travel Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of travel GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport) is mandatory.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with IATA regulations; IATA membership will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the travel industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable travel experiences.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze market trends, sales data, and operational metrics to make informed decisions.
