About the Role

We are seeking a subject matter expert to provide critical support and guidance to students in their learning journey. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, data science, or data analytics and be proficient in JavaScript, Python, and GitHub.

The role involves monitoring student inquiries, providing prompt feedback, and collaborating with the team to enhance course delivery and solve unexpected challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner using compassion and understanding
  • Guide students through complex assignments and questions using industry knowledge
  • Provide prompt feedback that includes pointed questions to help students build problem-solving skills
  • Suggest course improvements to ensure content is communicated clearly and effectively
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of extensive work experience in data engineering, data science, or data analytics
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and GitHub
  • Experience using data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
  • Advanced academic background in mathematics, particularly statistics, calculus, and linear algebra
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
