Job Title: Data Engineer

This is a pivotal role that encompasses the design, development, and optimization of end-to-end data solutions.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical part in building scalable data models for processing, endpoint processing, and integration. You will develop and optimize real-time, batch, and BYOD data pipelines using cutting-edge technologies like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data solutions using ADF, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, and Databricks.
  • Build scalable data models for processing, endpoint processing, and integration.
  • Develop and optimize real-time, batch, and BYOD data pipelines.

Data Modeling & Analytics:

  • Create semantic and dimensional models in Power BI.
  • Build enterprise dashboards, paginated reports, and self-service analytics solutions.
  • Implement row-level security, complex DAX measures, and model optimizations.

Platform Operations & Governance:

  • Apply DataOps practices, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure data security, quality, and governance.
  • Integrate predictive analytics with Azure ML when required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of data engineering experience (minimum 3 years in Microsoft technologies).
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, Spark SQL, Python/Scala, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Experience with real-time streaming and batch processing.
  • Proven track record in implementing medallion architecture and enterprise BI solutions.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate / Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate / Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or related field (master's preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
