Snowflake Engineer Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a skilled Snowflake engineer to design and develop efficient databases, schemas, tables, and views tailored for high-performance applications.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries and stored procedures in Snowflake.
  • This role involves analyzing, monitoring, and continuously improving database and query performance to ensure low latency and high scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification: Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification is mandatory.
  • Experience: The successful candidate must have at least 35 years of strong database development experience, with the last 2+ years focused exclusively on Snowflake as a dedicated Snowflake Developer (not Administrator).
  • Expertise in SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and stored procedure development is essential.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with analytic functions and large-scale data transformations within Snowflake would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Python for stored procedure scripting in Snowflake is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • This Snowflake engineer will work closely with the application and analytics engineering teams to design database models that maximize query performance.
  • The ideal candidate will develop reusable database components and standards to promote consistency and efficiency.
  • This role also involves troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and recommending tuning adjustments.
  • The successful candidate will participate actively in code reviews and design discussions related to database engineering.
