Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Pre-Closing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our US Mortgage Pre-Closing process, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of loan packages and creating Initial and subsequent Closing Disclosures (CDs).

The areas of responsibility for this role include:

  • Fee Analysis and Requesting: Request fees from settlement agents and perform thorough fee analysis.
  • Preliminary Closing Disclosure Preparation: Prepare preliminary closing disclosure documents.
  • Closing Disclosure Issuance: Issue initial closing disclosures/re-disclosures to clients.
  • Data Review and Verification: Review flood insurance/flood certifications, title commitment, ownership of deed, loan approval, tax cert, and preliminary closing disclosures.
  • Closing Pipeline Management: Closely monitor individual closing pipelines, workload, and volume levels for maximum balance and efficiency.
  • Power of Attorney Review: Review Power of Attorneys (POA).
  • Cash to Close Review: Review Cash to Close documents.
  • Closing Document Creation: Create closing documents and monitor required waiting periods.
  • Pre-Closing Audits: Request preclosing audits prior to closing.
  • Final Closing Document Delivery: Deliver final closing documents.
  • Final Closing Document Review and Clearance: Review final closing documents and clear them for funding.
  • Settlement Agent Communication: Ensure proper and effective communication with settlement agents.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent for US operations and a graduation degree for India operations with 18 months of experience in preparing Initial and Final closing documents.
  • Mortgage Concepts Knowledge: Familiarity with commonly used mortgage concepts, practices, procedures, and Fannie Freddie guidelines.
  • Loan Origination System Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of any Loan Origination Systems.
  • MS Office Tools Basis Knowledge: Basic knowledge to work on MS Office tools.
