About the Role:

Ciklum is seeking a talented and experienced Java Center of Excellence Leader to join our team in India.

As a Java Center of Excellence Leader, you will be part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. You will be responsible for leading a highly capable Java CoE team to rapid growth, setting up the foundations of the CoE, defining strategy and direction with autonomy and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and executing the Java CoE technical strategy
  • Building and growing a strong team globally, ensuring the team can deliver Java CoE offerings with high-quality
  • Growing the CoE to meet Ciklum's goals
  • Pre-sales and winning new work
  • Improving value proposition and technology radar as technology changes
  • Ensuring the team has the capability and competency to deliver against the value proposition
  • Running the communities of practice and building engagement internally
  • Public speaking at events that are likely to bring us business
  • Leading the team of engaged talents, ensuring high performance and continuous development in compliance with Ciklum processes
  • Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment within the Java CoE that drives a community that grows and retains talent

Requirements:

  • Extensive practical experience in Java development and leadership
  • Awareness of the latest IT industry and digitalization trends
  • Ability to set clear and attainable goals and priorities, manage time effectively, handle multi-tasking activities, and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • High flexibility and the ability to modify approaches based on changing stakeholders, conditions, circumstances, and feedback. Quick learning ability
  • Utilizing all aspects of emotional intelligence to navigate interactions and complexities in the business environment and drive leadership performance in oneself and others
  • Performance management skills to manage individuals and groups, set performance targets, and monitor progress against agreed quality and performance criteria
