Senior Engineering Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our application development projects and software engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical leadership, project management, and collaboration with architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Development Standards: Develop and maintain application development standards, processes, and tools to ensure consistency and predictability throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to software engineers and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes that drive business value.
  • Problem Solving: Act as the technical decision-maker and problem solver to deliver projects on time and meet quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years of experience in application development leadership, including 7+ years of technical experience within architecture development, integration of backend systems, and development.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of integration approaches and architectures, cloud-native solutions, microservices-architecture, and API orchestration architecture.
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience with technologies such as Java, NoSQL, Spring boot, and WebFlux.
  • Management Skills: Proven success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives/transformations and direct management of cross-functional, sourced, or matrixed teams.
  • Strategic Planning: Proven management experience in strategic planning and budgeting within one or more business groups.
