Job Summary:

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for effectively and efficiently processing payroll following established procedures to ensure compliance with related regulations and process controls. This position collaborates with multiple functional groups and works in HR payroll and timekeeping systems to maintain accurate and timely records of employee earnings deductions and taxes. The Payroll Coordinator provides world-class service to employees with payroll-related questions and issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare and process payroll for salaried and hourly employees across different legal entities under overall WESCO umbrella.
  • Covers both internal and outsourced payroll vendors.
  • Review and verify payroll data such as days and hours worked, pay rates, overtime, shift allowances, deductions, and taxes.
  • Validate pre-check payroll calculations and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations as well as labor laws and employee agreements.
  • Complete assignments such as preparation of payroll reports, audit tasks, project tasks, etc.
  • Deliver outstanding payroll-related service to employees. Clearly communicate with employees on payroll-related issues and questions.
  • Assist regular payroll processes such as audits, year-end closing, and special bonuses.
  • Stay updated on the latest payroll trends, best practices, and regulations.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in payroll software such as Oracle Keka and WorkDay, etc.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations as well as labor laws.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Advanced Excel.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Two to five years of experience in payroll processing or administration.
  • Holds Bachelor's Degree (Any).
