Job Title: Senior Associate

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team in Bangalore, India. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing complex tax returns prepared by Junior Specialists and Associates.
  • You will foster strong working relationships with colleagues and managers, ensuring exceptional quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned to Junior Specialists and Associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Expertise: Display an advanced level of understanding of moderate and complex tax concepts on individual tax returns (1040), and continuously enhance tax knowledge for Junior Specialists and Associates through client work and staying up-to-date with tax developments.
  2. Team Leadership: Train and assist Junior Specialists and Associates with their questions on a day-to-day basis.
  3. Collaboration: Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with teams in India and in the US.
  4. Project Support: Provide assistance to managers on projects, as requested.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Experience working on US individual tax returns with complex situations and High-Net-worth Individuals (HNIs)
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8621, 5471, 1116, 2555, 6252, and Passthrough reporting
  • Able to manage a team and the team's workflow

Qualification: Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US Individual taxation (1040)
