Supply Planning Manager Role Overview

The Supply Planning Manager will be responsible for leading and driving the distribution plan from a central warehouse to multiple branch locations across various product categories.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure alignment of planning with business objectives, customer channels, and frequency of distribution.
  • Manage availability of SKUs through robust distribution frameworks, prioritization models, and scenario-based planning to mitigate constraints.
  • Guarantee product availability for billing across all sales channels.
  • Determine and monitor inventory holding policies and norms based on network lead times, SKU classification, and channel priorities.
  • Develop replenishment planning using rolling inventory norms.
  • Optimize dispatch plans considering freight load capacity, promotional priorities, seasonality, and inter-branch transfer reduction.
  • Establish replenishment mechanisms across all inventory nodes.
  • Identify and monitor slow-moving/obsolete stock.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred (from reputable institutions).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning/Distribution Planning.
  • Preferred industry - Consumer Products/FMCG with experience in product-level distribution across a central warehouse and branch warehouses/distribution centers.

  • Supply Chain Planning, Distribution Planning & Inventory Planning
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Advanced Excel
  • Ability to manage complexity of large SKU base and multi-channel distribution.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration (Sales, SCM, Finance, Logistics).
  • Proactive mindset with ability to balance cost, availability, and service levels.
