As a seasoned Data Governance Lead Analyst - Enterprise Data Stewardship Expert, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data governance framework.
About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional professional with 7+ years of experience in data management, focusing on data governance, quality management, standards management, reference data management, and data privacy disciplines. Your expertise will enable us to establish a robust data governance framework, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
Main Responsibilities- Influence Data Governance Policies: Collaborate with Business teams to develop and implement data governance policies, emphasizing data ownership and accountability.
- Drive Adoption: Socialize and embed the data governance framework across Business teams, promoting its adoption and utilization.
- Create Data Quality Capabilities: Develop and promote data quality management capabilities, coaching stakeholders on measurement techniques and defining 'good' data quality standards.
- Promote Common Data Assets: Establish common data assets, such as business glossaries, reference data, data inventories, data models, and quality tools, to foster data consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain Policy Adherence: Monitor adherence to data policies and standards, addressing potential deviations and escalating issues when necessary.
- Facilitate Data Governance Forums: Lead Data Governance Forums, reporting on data priorities and issues, and driving collaboration among stakeholders.
- Ensure Compliance: Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to implement appropriate controls on data management within business operations.
- Measure Data Maturity: Develop and promote metrics for measuring overall data maturity.
- Provide Expertise: Act as an expert resource for external parties, such as auditors, vendors, and regulators, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Stay Ahead: Maintain knowledge of best practices in data governance and related tools, services, and technologies.
- 7+ years of experience in data management, covering data governance, quality management, standards management, reference data management, and data privacy disciplines.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence Business and Technology stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience at the intersection of customer, risk, and compliance, specifically regarding data-related risks.
- Knowledge of Business and IT interdependencies in data management.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent facilitation, presentation, and storyboarding abilities.
- University degree in a related field.
- Data Management certification (DAMA, IAIDQ, or similar) is desirable.
