About the Role

This is a full-time position for an Accounting Specialist responsible for managing revenue accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning end-to-end revenue accounting processes to ensure accurate recognition in compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 standards.
  • Reviewing customer contracts and agreements to determine revenue treatment, including multi-element arrangements and variable considerations.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams to assess deal structures and ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies.
  • Preparing and maintaining revenue schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close.
  • Analyzing deferred revenue, billing schedules, and revenue forecasts to support financial reporting and audit readiness.
  • Partnering with IT and finance systems teams to enhance automation and reporting capabilities related to revenue.
  • Supporting external audits and internal controls by providing documentation and insights into revenue processes.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition, preferably in SaaS, technology, or services environment.
  • CPA or CA qualification.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and practical application in complex contract scenarios.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and revenue sub-ledgers or modules.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations); experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and sales teams.
