Legal Professional

The role of Legal Officer is pivotal in maintaining the University's legal integrity by delivering expert counsel, managing litigation, drafting legal documents, and advising on policy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and accurate legal advice to senior officials and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Contract and Document Management:

  • Draft, review, and vet legal documents, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and standard agreements with external parties.

Litigation Management:

  • Coordinate with internal and external legal advisors and prepare responses to grievances and attend court proceedings when necessary.

Policy Development:

  • Monitor internal legal processes, update existing policies, and formulate new ones to protect the University's interests.

Grievance and Dispute Resolution:

  • Act as a member secretary for committees and handle internal disputes from a legal perspective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in law (LLB or LLM) from a recognized institution with Bar Council of India registration.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum six years of experience is required as an advocate or working in the legal department of an organization preferably in the education sector demonstrating hands-on application of legal knowledge.
  • Possesses strong analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. Knowledge of Telugu is a must.
