Cyber Security Specialists play a vital role in safeguarding an organization's digital assets.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading cybersecurity operations and incident response efforts, as well as managing local and remote team members.

  • Review proposed change requests to firewalls, router access control lists, IPS, and proxies to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Audit deployed rulesets regularly to identify drift from baseline configurations.
  • Perform real-time security monitoring for potential threats and analyze alerts to coordinate responses with senior analysts.
  • Triage potential security incidents according to SOC case handling procedures, alert handling procedures, and customer-specific guidelines.

To succeed in this role, the candidate should possess knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, HTTP, DNS, SMTP) and network security technologies including firewalls, Network IDS/IPS Solutions, Network monitoring solutions, Switch/Router ACLs, Network Access Control solutions, Web Application Firewalls, Proxy Servers and Secure Web Gateway.

Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security technologies is required. Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems knowledge and proficiency in Shell/Bash/Python are also essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or Network+ certification is a must for this position.
