Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to join our team in Bengaluru. This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end revenue accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely recognition in compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage revenue accounting processes including review of customer contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue treatment
  • Collaborate with Sales Legal and FP&A teams to assess deal structures and ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules journal entries and reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and advise on implications for revenue recognition
  • Provide high-quality financial reporting and audit support by analyzing deferred revenue billing schedules and revenue forecasts
  • Enhance automation and reporting capabilities related to revenue through collaboration with IT and finance systems teams

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition preferably in a SaaS technology or services environment
  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and practical application in complex contract scenarios
  • Proficiency in ERP systems e.g. NetSuite SAP Oracle and revenue sub-ledgers or modules
  • Advanced Excel skills pivot tables formulas reconciliations; experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance legal and sales teams
