Financial Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial data, reconciling accounts, and assembling working papers for financial statements.

  • Maintain accurate financial records using Excel and other accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation laws (GST/HST/PST, corporate tax, payroll taxes) in collaboration with senior advisors.
  • Assemble working paper packages for financial statements.
  • Onboard new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into our accounting systems and processes.
  • Conduct data entry tasks as needed.
  • Prepare corporate tax returns and related documentation. Strong grasp of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance is required.
  • Oversee payroll tasks, including client onboarding, payroll processing, etc.
  • Communicate with clients via email and phone to gather necessary information and clarify details.
Requirements:
  • Approx. 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably with Canadian firms or public practice.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the Canadian and American accent is essential for this position.
Preferred Tools & Software Proficiency:
  • QuickBooks Online experience is preferred.
  • Xero and any online cloud accounting software will be an added advantage.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Excel is mandatory.
