Platform Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled OpenShift Administrator to join our team.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for owning complex issue resolution, architectural improvements, and operational excellence in an OpenShift environment.
  • Key responsibilities will include leading the resolution of critical or complex OpenShift and Kubernetes issues, performing deep-dive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive action planning, overseeing and optimizing cluster capacity, performance, and scaling, planning and executing platform upgrades, migrations, and architecture changes, developing automation scripts and tooling for platform management (Ansible, Helm, Operators), defining and implementing security hardening, compliance, and governance frameworks, mentoring L2 engineers, reviewing their escalations, and building operational knowledge base, liaising with architecture and DevOps teams on enhancements and new capabilities, improving monitoring, alerting, and operational processes for the platform, owning BAU process improvements and standardization across environments.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Linux administration.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in OpenShift (v4 preferred).
  • Expert-level understanding of Kubernetes internals, API objects, Operators.
  • Strong knowledge of container networking, ingress, and service mesh technologies.
  • Experience with automation and GitOps tooling (Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Proven track record in leading platform upgrades, migrations, and optimizations.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
