Senior Pipeline Hydraulics Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Hydraulics Specialist to lead our team in the design and development of hydraulic systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pipeline hydraulics, water supply schemes, and irrigation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Determine water requirements for Water Supply Schemes & Irrigation pipe distribution network projects.
  2. Prepare Zone / Water User Association Block, chak planning of Project.
  3. Develop Pipeline Layout plans for Water Supply Scheme & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project.
  4. Conduct hydraulic design of Water Supply Scheme & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project on Water GEMS software.
  5. Create L-Sections of pipeline design on AutoCAD and E survey Software.
  6. Carry out investigations, surveys, engineering calculations and prepare working drawings and estimates for water supply schemes & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project.
  7. Generate item-wise bill of quantity for Project.
  8. Estimate quantities and create bar bending schedules from drawings.
  9. Obtain design approvals from government departments and vetting institutes.
  10. Travel to sites/government departments for convincing, scrutiny & approval.
  11. Develop report writing and presentation skills.
Requirements:
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in hydraulic design and water supply schemes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Master's degree in Water Resources/Irrigation/Environment.
  • Knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and software used for same (Water GEMS).
  • Experience as design engineer for water supply pipeline project or Irrigation projects.
  • Knowledge of Water Supply Scheme & Irrigation PDN projects structures i.e. Intake Well, Jack Well, Sump Cum Pump House, WTP, MBRs, ESRs, GSRs, Thrust blocks and Anchor blocks, etc.
  • Knowledge of different types of Pipes, Valves, Pumps, design manuals and relevant IS codes.
  • Proficiency in Water GEMS, AutoCAD, ArcGIS and E survey Software.
