Senior Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Penetration Tester to lead security assessments, uncover vulnerabilities, and help build secure digital environments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and executing penetration testing engagements across various environments.
About the Position:
You will work closely with security architects, DevOps, and IT teams to identify weaknesses, simulate real-world attacks, and guide remediation efforts. Your primary goal is to ensure the highest level of security for our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute penetration testing engagements across web, mobile, APIs, cloud, and network environments to ensure optimal security.
- Develop and manage comprehensive penetration test plans and reporting workflows to provide actionable insights.
- Simulate real-world attacks using manual and automated techniques to uncover security flaws and improve our defenses.
- Deliver detailed and prioritized vulnerability reports with actionable remediation guidance to support our security posture.
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security teams to fix discovered vulnerabilities and maintain a robust security framework.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments on new systems and architectures to anticipate potential security risks.
- Mentor and guide junior penetration testers and security analysts to enhance our team's expertise and capabilities.
- Stay updated on the latest threat vectors, exploits, and cybersecurity trends to inform our security strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in penetration testing and ethical hacking with a strong understanding of security principles.
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST standards, and CVSS scoring to evaluate vulnerabilities effectively.
- Proficiency in tools like Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Nessus, Wireshark, and Kali Linux to conduct thorough security assessments.
- Solid understanding of application security, network protocols, authentication mechanisms, and secure coding principles to identify and mitigate risks.
- Experience in testing APIs (REST, SOAP), mobile apps (Android/iOS), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure broad compatibility.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills to communicate complex security information effectively.
- Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, GPEN, CEH (Practical), or equivalent to demonstrate advanced security expertise.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps integration to ensure seamless security implementation.
- Experience working with bug bounty platforms and responsible disclosure processes to foster a culture of security excellence.
