Job Title: Senior Finance Specialist

Reports to: Office of the Chief Financial Officer

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Account Reconciliation: Verify and reconcile bank payment entries, cash payment entries, consultancy bills, and other financial transactions in the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare NEFT letters, obtain signatures from authorized personnel for payments, and send payment advises to concerned departments.
  • Fund Management: Prepare fund requirement statements as per fund requirements, obtain signatures for fund requests to headquarters, and update dashboards for university overhead income, professional development fund, etc.
  • Closing Entries: Close monthly journal entries and accounting entries, prepare monthly cash books with closing cash on hand, and provide daily bank and cash balance dashboards.
  • Refunds and Payments: Process students' refunds, vehicle loan EMI payments, and reconciliation; collect provisional and final investment declarations for income tax and supporting documents from employees and update the same in ERP.
  • Payroll Processing: Verify and process salaries, PhD, PDF, and M.Tech stipends, full and final settlement of salary for resigned employees, and find new processes for improving existing ones.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong Accounting Skills: Strong accounting knowledge, proficiency in Excel, Word, and ERP systems, good communication skills, and job stability.
