Optical Transport Professional

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Optical Transport Professional to join our team.

 

As an Optical Transport Professional, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving technical problems related to microwave and optical transport equipment and networks. You will work closely with other teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex network environments and learn new technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

Technical Skills
Optical Networking:
  • Solid understanding of DWDM, SDH/SONET, and other optical transport technologies.
  • Good understanding NOC process flow, 24*7 support.
  • Hands on Experience in Optical OEM's (Ciena, Nokia, Cambium, Aviat)
  • Good in Troubleshooting.
  • Expert in Pathloss 5.1, MapInfo, Global mapper, QGIS, Mini-Link Planner
  • Good understanding of RSL, Fade Margin, Availability, Interference etc. and capacity requirements.
Documentation:
  • Ability to create and maintain detailed network documentation.
Communication:
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other teams.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing network environments.
