Memory Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Memory Design Engineer with hands-on experience in full-custom memory design and architectures.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in SRAM design verification, layout design, net-listers, and characterization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed and optimized physical layouts for memory cells, arrays, and peripheral circuits.
  • Develop and implement custom memory designs that meet performance, power, and area (PPA) requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate memory designs into larger systems.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in full-custom memory design and architectures.
  • Strong understanding of SRAM design verification, layout design, net-listers, and characterization.
  • Familiarity with physical verification flows like DRC, LVS, DFM, PERC, ERC, EM, and IR.
  • Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso and Synopsys Custom Compiler is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of different types of memory architecture.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of good layout practices, especially in lower process nodes like 7nm and 5nm.
