Job Title:

Network Security Specialist - Test Engineer

As a Network Security Specialist - Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable security solutions.

This position involves close collaboration with security developers, QA engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to guarantee the highest quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, analyzing results, and working closely with development and product teams.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Arista's Network Detection and Response (NDR) and Edge Threat Management (ETM) products.
  • Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, scaling, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve test automation tools.
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior engineers by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

  • BE/ B.Tech/ME/M.Tech with 5-8 years of networking industry experience.
  • Strong programming experience in Python and the Robot automation framework.
  • Hands-on experience with Git reviews and merging pull-requests.
  • Hands-on experience configuring routers and firewalls (including Next-Generation Firewalls).
  • Strong understanding of IP Routing, network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), VPNs, and network traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Experience with performance testing, load testing, and system scalability.
  • Experience using traffic tools such as BreakingPoint, IxNetwork, IxLoad.
  • Experience working in Linux (command line usage, troubleshooting, and basic system administration).
  • Ability to analyze user stories and technical specifications to create effective and comprehensive test cases.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in cross-functional teams and articulating technical concepts clearly.
