Senior Accountant Position Overview

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong educational background and some corporate experience in accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and management of real estate transactions.

We are seeking a skilled professional to work on a set of clients/portfolios, performing various accounting tasks with exceptional proficiency. The role involves handling financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with applicable taxation and legislation.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Reconciling financial discrepancies.
  • Ensuring clients receive excellent service consistent with industry standards.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of all client financial matters.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable taxation and other relevant guidelines.
  • Recording financial transactions and ensuring legal requirements compliance.
  • Developing systems for financial transaction accounting and record-keeping.
  • Maintaining historical records through proper filing.
  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Additionally, the successful candidate must possess:

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience in the corporate/business sector.
  • Hands-on experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) using QuickBooks in real estate accounting.
  • Education background with either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), US accounting, and taxation processes.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) candidate or enrolled CPA.
